英国诗歌协会(Poetry Society)成立于1909年，是面向所有诗歌爱好者的会员制慈善组织，它致力于推广英语诗歌学习与鉴赏;目前拥有3000多名会员，自成立以以来已经成为英国Zhui具活力的艺术团体之一，代表着英国诗歌在国际和国内的地位。诗歌协会的会刊《诗歌评论》(Poetry Review)是英国著名的诗歌杂志。协会还负责主办英国全国诗歌日(National Poetry Day)的活动及各种诗歌比赛和评奖活动，如全英诗歌大赛(British National Poetry Competition)等。协会还为诗人、教师、学生和作家等提供培训机会。“The Poetry Society is the heart and hands of poetry in the UK – a centre which pours out energy to all parts of the poetry-body, and a dexterous set of operations which arrange and organise poetry’s various manifestations.
