惠灵顿市跨海大桥于1994年开通，桥型呈楔形，这是一座步行桥，也是一件公共艺术品。大桥连接惠灵顿的市民广场和惠灵顿的一个泻湖，广场附近有惠灵顿的政府和中央图书馆等建筑。这座桥被一些新颖的木雕所装饰着，而桥的两侧更是由这些木雕构成，粗旷而生动。
