赫尔辛基大学是位于芬兰首都赫尔辛基的世界级著名高等学府。以其悠久的历史，丰富的藏书，一流的设备， 齐备的专业以及杰出的成就闻名欧洲。 赫尔辛基大学1640年创建于芬兰古都土尔库，1828年迁至赫尔辛基。是芬兰在国际上享有盛誉的著名高等学府，全球广泛使用的Linux操作系统于1991 年10 月5 日诞生于此。坐落在赫尔辛基市中心会议会广场上的赫尔辛基大学主楼建筑，与高高耸立的绿顶白壁的大教堂和对面的政府办公楼构成了一幅美丽的图画。这幢四层黄楼建于1832年的大学主楼，是芬兰高等教育中心的象征。
