英国邱园（Kew Gardens）是世界上最著名的植物园之一，正式名称为皇家植物园。园内的玛丽安娜·诺斯画廊，收藏有她的833幅植物图谱画作。 玛丽安娜·诺斯1830年出生于一个富裕的家庭。她热爱旅行和绘画，是维多利亚时代的旅行家、画家。她对植物有着极大的兴趣，所以在欧洲、美洲、亚洲、非洲各地旅行时，都曾考察了当地特有的植物，并且为这些植物绘制了精美的“肖像画”。 现在，游客可以从玛丽安娜的画作中，了解当时世界各地植物原本的样貌。而这些作品一丝不苟的形象描绘，以及绚丽的色彩，也是值得欣赏的艺术。
